Dave Montgomery, M.D., Ph.D. received his medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, where he continued his medical training including an internship and residency in internal medicine as well as clinical and advanced fellowships in cardiology. Dr. Montgomery also holds a Ph.D. in physiology from the University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Medicine.
He is board-certified in both cardiology and internal medicine. His clinical focus is heart and vascular disease prevention. Some of his special clinical interests include preventing and managing cardiovascular disease in the young adult, the athlete, and obese populations.
Dr. Montgomery has published in a range of medical and scientific journals and his patient care and clinical work as a resident won him induction into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He also holds memberships in a number of organizations, including the American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiology.
